Our Greeters, Parking, and Ushers teams work together to host our community during this Christmas season. With joy, they welcome those who walk through our doors and encourage them to grow in their relationship with Jesus. Sign up to serve with us!
Commitment: Serve for approximately 1-hour on Christmas Eve.

Assist our teachers in the kids’ classrooms as kids play games, sing songs and hear the Christmas story during our Christmas Eve Services for 90 minutes. No experience needed.

Create an atmosphere where people are encouraged to grow in their relationship with Christ and the Black Rock community over great conversation and great Café goods!

Connect with our community through a cup of coffee and a warm welcome. Beyond serving a great cup of coffee, we strive for every person to feel seen and loved! If you consider yourself a barista or coffee connoisseur or you just have a heart to serve people caffeine, consider joining Cafe!

In this new age of more online viewership, Camera Operators play an important role in helping people watching online experience the service in a way that will connect them to God. No experience necessary!

Help people in our community learn to steward their finances well. Coaches can help those they serve with budgeting skills, credit mediation and a mindset of managing their resources well.

At Sanctuary, we get close! Help new guests find their home at Sanctuary by lovingly welcoming them into the community. Connect Team helps people feel seen, known, and loved. We greet people before and after service, at Connect Parties, and special events such as Midweek.

Help people connect with God by helping them connect with others and with Black Rock. As a CC host, you’ll be the first relationship many visitors have at our church. You’ll also have the opportunity to recommend the next steps for those in our community who have been at BRC for a while but haven’t connected yet.

As a part of the contemporary worship band, you’ll have the opportunity to honor God and inspire people by playing modern worship music at our Sunday services.

Help us communicate the heart and mission of Sanctuary through photography, social media, graphic design, video, and other creative outlets.

Currently, we’re looking for photographers who can photograph on Sunday nights and potential special events.

Serve behind the scenes with various data entry, data cleanup and database improvement projects on an ad hoc basis.

At Sanctuary we choose honor. Honor the space we use by neatly putting away everything we use to create Sanctuary’s space. Many hands make light work!

At Sanctuary we have fun! Our Design Team lays the foundation of the fun and welcoming atmosphere Sanctuary strives for. We set up banners, decor, tables, merch and more for weekly service and special events.

Comfort those who are grieving the passing of a loved one by providing refreshments following a service held at the church facility. Food preparation skills and the gift of hospitality are helpful qualities for this team.

So often, Greeters define the experience for first-time visitors at BRC. With a smile and a joyful spirit, Greeters are able to help visitors feel like they belong at Black Rock. If you’re passionate about helping people feel welcome and comfortable, you’re perfect for this role!

Mentor our high school students, co-lead a small group discussion where you can invest in the next generation, and actively pass down the spiritual legacy that you have received. Partner with God’s desire to help students grow deeper into their faith!

Connect meaningfully with parents and families who are visiting BRC as the first person they may meet. This role includes making deep connections with those families, showing them around the kids’ areas for the first time, and answering any questions they have. If you like making deeper connections, you’re a perfect fit for this team!

Assist the leader in 1st-5th grade by helping kids engage in the lesson and activities, connecting kids to one another, and modeling worship and active listening. Everything is ready for you, just show up and connect.

Supervise and entertain our youngest guests. Serve our birth through 2-year-old kids by attending to their needs, reading Bible stories, praying for each child, and building relationships through crafts, play, and conversation.

Assist the lead teacher with classroom management, activities and teaching as needed. Connect with children on a deeper level through prayer, discussion questions and games. Everything is ready for you, just show up and connect.

The Light Board Operator will be responsible for changing the light cues between service elements, including during the worship sets, announcements, the sermon and videos.

The Light Board Programmer is responsible for designing and programming the light cues for the services. The lighting design each week enhances the worship experience for those worshiping in the Worship Center and online.

Share encouragement and love as you provide nutritious meals for people recovering from surgeries or other challenging life events.

Open your home to Global Partner visiting Black Rock! As a member of our hospitality team you’ll host Global Partners for the duration of their stay, offering them either a room or an entire house, according to your ability.

If you’d like to employ your gifts to engage our church to pray, give, and go in support of God’s work around the world, these are the opportunities for you. Serving commitment varies by role, but generally, it will be 1-3 hours weekly between January-March. Volunteer opportunities include: event planning and setup, set design and construction, administrative assistance, prayer support, and Wednesday kids’ programs.

In between services, help those who attend our church to take their next step in owning their faith. As you assist people in using our website and Realm app, you’ll help them identify and signup for groups, seminars, serving teams and other connection opportunities at Black Rock.

Did you know that our parking hosts actually have reserved spots for families and are the very first people to identify our guests? The experience people have with our church actually starts out in our parking lot, so this is a great opportunity to help connect with God and our church.

Join our team to pray with those in the church family and guests during our services in the Prayer Room. Help connect those who ask for prayer to additional growth resources.

Help people connect with God each week through operating lighting, audio, video, and projection.

The ProPres/Projection Operator is responsible for all content that is sent to the large screen at the front of the Worship Center which provides information to the congregation about programs happening at BRC and helps those attending services to worship God through song and sermon application.

Engage Resource Center visitors in conversation and based on our inventory, suggest physical and digital resources that will support their growth in areas such as prayer, Bible study, relationships and parenting, Christian living and more. By helping them connect with these resources, hosts will help those who attend Black Rock to continue to grow in their faith even after they leave our services!

Be a one-on-one buddy to help our children and students with special needs participate in our Sunday Morning or Weeknight Kids and Student Ministry programs. Training provided.

Help create new sets for sermon series and programs using props, lights and light construction. Experience in painting, graphic design and construction preferred.

The Switcher is charged with producing the online livestream to Facebook, YouTube and BRC’s website. The stream includes switching between cameras during all elements of the service and switching between cameras and ProPresenter slides during the service. This role helps all of those who are unable to attend the service in person to worship God through our online platforms.

Be a part of the team who produces our services! Our tech crew members serve in different areas of production including cameras, projection, sound and lights. Training provided.

As a member of the worship team you will play a role in leading the congregation in worshiping God in a traditional music style.

Come alongside someone who is not yet confident with their English language skills to help them feel more connected at Black Rock. Opportunities vary according to the needs of our church with a primary focus on written translation of growth and connection resources. Let us know your level of fluency and availability, and we will find the right fit for you!

Support those in need as you provide transportation to church services and health care appointments.

Our Worship Center can be overwhelming for many first-time visitors and regular attendees. Being a great Usher is all about creating personal relationships with those coming to worship, and aiding them in finding a seat. You’re able to substitute a stressful experience for an incredible one! If you’re interested in helping guests and regular attendees feel loved and welcomed, you’d be a great Usher!

Worship is our Heartbeat! If you are skilled at playing an instrument or singing, we would love to have you help people worship God.
