Worship

At Black Rock, we want everyone at our church to be able to have an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ, and to discover the joy of becoming like Him. To help foster this, we have developed our four-step spiritual development process as a reflection of Jesus’ model of the Christian life. The four parts of this process are Worship, Community, Service, and Ownership.

The first part of this process, Worship, is the expression of reverence and adoration to God for who He is and what He has done for us. A perfect way to get started in this area is to attend our weekly worship services. Though worship certainly doesn’t end when the service is dismissed, joining us on Sunday mornings is a great way to begin to discover the beauty of worshipping Jesus Christ.

We know we live in a world of busy schedules and different styles, so we offer several different service times each Sunday, as well as three different styles of worship services: Traditional, Contemporary, and Sanctuary, our young adult service.

Black Rock Fairfield

8:30am // Traditional Service

The Traditional Worship Service at Black Rock-Fairfield draws upon the rich history of church tradition to foster a worship environment with a classical style. This reverent atmosphere includes hymn selections accompanied by organ, piano and orchestral instruments as well as corporate readings of Scripture, confessions and prayers. Additionally, the Sanctuary Choir enriches this hour-long service through a variety of musical contributions.

In this multi-generational service, dress is dignified and all that is done serves to focus our minds on worship of the Creator and to prepare our hearts to receive the teaching of God’s Word through sermons that are both deep and applicable.

10:00 & 11:30am // Contemporary Services

worship

Our Contemporary Services focus on creating an atmosphere where anyone and everyone can come as they are and encounter our Lord. These services include an extended time of musical worship, featuring songs by bands such as Hillsong United, Bethel Music, and All Sons & Daughters. Following this time, one of our pastors will present a sermon from God’s Word to both challenge and encourage us in pursuing Jesus and becoming more like Him.

If you’re looking for a comfortable, friendly environment in which to discover God, join us in one of our Contemporary Services this Sunday! Wear whatever you’re comfortable in, whether that’s a suit or sweatpants, and come ready to experience God in a new exciting way!

6:00pm // Sanctuary (Young Adult Ministry)

Sanctuary is a unique church community committed to creating an environment where lives are transformed by God. Our main gathering is a worship experience on Sunday nights from 6:00-7:30, followed by a time to get to know people and eat together. This relaxed worship service features a talented band and an engaging speaker, as well as times to experience God through video, music, art, and more!

While we are primarily young adults, anyone who desires to experience God’s presence is always welcome to join us!

Black Rock Stamford

10:00am // Contemporary Service

At Black Rock Stamford, we worship God joyfully and energetically in the intimate community that God has gifted us with at this campus. Our services usually begin with four or five modern songs led by our amazing worship team, in which our church joins together to celebrate God’s love and power. After this, our Campus Pastor, Eric Lubbert, leads us in studying God’s Word through an engaging and relatable sermon designed not just to teach our minds, but to encourage our hearts.

Join us on Sunday at 10 AM to see what God is doing in our church, and to encounter Him in an amazing way for yourself!

Black Rock Easton

11:00am // Traditional Service

Join a small group of dedicated believers at our Easton Campus (Church Road) as we sing praises to our Lord and hear a message from a Black Rock Pastor or Elder.
