Welcome to Black Rock Stamford!
We are so happy you found us! Black Rock Stamford is part of Black Rock Church in Fairfield. Our mission and values are the same. We believe in the importance of God’s Word, we teach from God’s Word and we try to live by God’s Word. We also seek to be filled and empowered by the Holy Spirit to follow the example of Jesus. Jesus is everything to us and He is the center of everything we do.
We know it can be uncomfortable going to a new church but we want you to know that we want you here and we want you to feel at home at Black Rock Stamford. Our services are very laid back, so please feel comfortable wearing causal attire.

10 AM // Contemporary Service
At Black Rock Stamford, we worship God joyfully and energetically in the intimate community that God has gifted us with at this campus. Our services usually begin with modern songs led by our amazing worship team. After the music, our Campus Pastor, Hal Haller, usually leads us in studying God’s Word through engaging, relatable and practical sermons that will encourage and help you during the week.
Join us on Sunday at 10 AM to see what God is doing in our church, and to encounter Him in an amazing way for yourself!
The Sunday Experience
Worship at Black Rock Stamford
Black Rock Stamford has a beautiful campus that includes a Chapel and a Worship Center building. On special occasions throughout the year, the Chapel is opened for special “Unplugged” Worship Services.” These services are an amazing experience featuring acoustic worship. Normally, worship services are held in the larger main Worship Center building for comfortable seating and direct access to our children’s ministry.

Kids And Students at Black Rock Stamford
Kids are so important to us at Black Rock Stamford. That is why we provide Sunday school for infants up to 5th graders on Sunday mornings. Our Sunday school curriculum is the same as Black Rock Fairfield’s. All our volunteers are Safe Guard trained to ensure a safe environment for your children to learn about the Bible and Jesus, have fun with friends and grow into the individuals they have been created to be.
When you arrive, you can check your kids into our fun and active Children’s Church before attending the service. You’ll find that our children’s workers are committed and enthusiastic as they teach your kids how to live and learn the ways of Jesus.
Black Rock Fairfield provides Middle School and High School youth group. Students go to Area 56 (5th & 6th graders) or Club JV (7th & 8th graders) on Wednesday nights at 7:00pm and Fusion (High Schoolers) on Tuesday nights at 7:00pm at Black Rock Church in Fairfield.
Community at Black Rock Stamford
Black Rock Stamford believes in every attender doing life together. No one is meant to do life alone! All of us need to build our faith, have opportunities to share joys and struggles and find ways to significantly help others out.
Here are the main ways we emphasize community:
After the Sunday service, stick around for ‘Coffee Connection’. This brief gathering time allows people to connect with each other and new people in the church. Enjoy the hot coffee and delicious refreshments that are provided.
Secondly, attend one of our Community Groups. These are groups of people that gather sometime during the week to pray, learn the Bible, and deepen their friendships with one another. Community Groups meet at various times and locations during the week. You can go to blackrockstamford.org to find a group you might be interested in attending. Contact
to get started in a group today.
Thirdly, like our Facebook Page @BlackRockStamford to get regular updates and to keep current on the latest activities of the church. Also, check out our city website at blackrockstamford.org to learn more on connecting and engaging in the church and community.
Serving at Black Rock Stamford
Serving others and expanding the work of the church in our community and around the world is one of our primary emphases. At Black Rock Stamford, we assess (helping you understand your spiritual gifts and talents), teach (how you can best use your gifts and talents for God) and train (developing skills that accomplish your life mission) for maximum impact in God’s Kingdom.
We have a number of entry-level opportunities to serve in the church (new people can find a place to serve pretty quickly) as well as advanced ministry roles for those who have been through our new member’s class and leadership process.
