No matter your life stage, we are committed to helping you grow into high-impact Christ followers through our Spiritual Development process of Worship, Community, Serving and Ownership. Every adult at Black Rock is encouraged to actively engage in their own growth by attending weekly worship services, participating in a Community Group, regularly serving, and taking ownership of their walk with Christ.
Connect in Community
God designed the church to be a community of Jesus-followers who show each other unconditional love, encouragement and care as we link arms to live as He wants us to live. At Black Rock we resource many opportunities for you to engage in intentional community with other adults.
We have designed several opportunities for men to be challenged and encouraged in their Christian walk. Some ownership opportunities geared towards men include weekly men’s Bible studies, Saturday morning prayer groups, a weekly golf league, quarterly men’s breakfasts, and an annual men’s retreat.

We seek to provide opportunities and resources that encourage women toward a growing relationship with Jesus, continued study and application of the Bible and deep connection as sisters in Christ. Throughout the year, all women at Black Rock Church are encouraged to engage with opportunities such as occasional Bible studies and special events such as retreats, seminars, workshops etc. to better connect you with God, His Word and each Other.
Want to get involved? Contact for more information and be sure to join The City to be included in communications about upcoming women’s connections.

Black Rock's Marriage Ministry prepares and guides couples through the rigors and challenges of a lifelong commitment to a Christ-centered marriage. We desire for the couples in our church to reflect God’s beautiful design for marriage through all life stages, supporting and encouraging young and old married couples alike, and offering help to marriages that have been struggling and are in desperate need of restoration. Being the parent of a young child is time-consuming and sometimes isolating. Building relationships with other parents committed to following Jesus in their parenting strengthens families. Moms of the Rock and Fathers of Black Rock provide practical and spiritual input for this unique life stage.
STARTING POINT GROUPS
Starting Point is a group-based, conversational environment where people can explore faith and form relationships with others on a similar quest.
Starting Point is ideal for:
Seekers: Those who are curious about God, Jesus, the Bible, or Christianity.
Starters: Those who are new to a relationship with Christ.
Returners: Those who want to share their faith easily and naturally with
friends and neighbors.
Community Groups study the Bible together and encourage one another as they seek to apply spiritual truths to everyday life. These groups meet once a week for about two months at a time and are held in private homes throughout Southern Connecticut.
LIVING FREE RECOVERY GROUPS
God longs for us to experience freedom beyond what we can imagine, but often we are held back by the hurts in our lives. Living Free Recovery Groups provide a safe place to find healing, hope and support from the effects of abuse and trauma, abortion, childlessness and infant death, divorce, grief, and chemical or other dependencies.
